Is the
African voter as "stupid" as the African Christian? Some so called pastors spew nonsense
and we believe and follow them sheepishly in the name of some "stupid" faith. Politicians
continue to take us for granted yet we still believe and follow them in the
name of some "stupid" allegiance and patriotism.
Our pastors
live affluence lifestyles while we go hungry; we are made to drink, eat, bath
and do all kinds of things without questioning in the name of some beliefs. Our politicians live
affluently while we go hungry. Where is our common sense as a people and when
will the African wake up from this quagmire of stupidity?
If a
politician has the influence to buy over 200 mini buses just to achieve
political gains, what prevents those (Politicians)
from using same influence in getting beds for our hospitals? After all that was why we voted for them in the first place. I felt sad when I saw
what was happening at korle-bu on TV. Sick patients being treated on the floor,
some in plastic chairs all because there are no beds. Seriously? Are we losing
our priorities as a country just for selfish gains?
May be our
leaders want us to die from lack of proper health care so our ghosts do the voting.
It’s about time our politicians stopped taking the citizenry for granted and
get serious in this country.
